New Book on Chicago's Top40 Radio Era: 1955 to 1975

Neal Samors (author: Chicago in the Sixties) is in the early stages of co-authoring a new book with Chicago's legendary deejay Clark Weber. The book will cover 20 years of Chicago radio memories from 1955 to 1975 and will include memorabilia and key deejay interviews from Clark's years at WIND, WJJD, WLS and WCFL. The new book will be titled "Clark Weber's Rock and Roll Radio in Chicago: 1955 to 1975" and is scheduled to be published in the Fall of 2008.

Neal would like to include a listeners perspective from this era and has asked us:

"
If you could put a note on your website and bloglist and ask people to write to me with their memories about rock and roll radio during those years. Those memories can range from a few sentences to a few paragraphs to a couple of pages, and we will include as many of those that are interesting and informative."
